Student Disciplinary Tribunal

The Student Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) is a quasi-judicial unit and serves as one of the disciplinary arms of the University under the supervision of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.  It receives and investigates complaints of misconduct committed by UP Diliman students.  It conducts formal hearings, deliberates and recommends appropriate penalties to students when found guilty of the complaints against them.

All cases involving discipline of students under University Rules are subject to the jurisdiction of SDT, except the following which fall under the jurisdiction of the appropriate college or unit:

  • Violation of college or unit rules and regulations by students of the college, or
  • Misconduct committed by students of the college or unit within its classrooms or premises or in the course of an official activity.

SDT also issues certificates of good moral character and signs university clearances, leave of absence and waivers of prerequisites.
