Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarships Program for 2025

The Office of International Linkages Diliman invites students to apply for the Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship for the 1st semester of 2025. This program, offered by the University of Western Australia with funding from the Government of Western Australia, provides high-achieving international students from Western Australia’s five universities with a $50,000 scholarship to cover tuition fees and other university expenses.

Eligibility

  • International students must meet the eligibility criteria in the application form on their chosen university’s website.
  • Applicants must be a new offshore enrolment into an undergraduate or postgraduate
    course (as specified by their chosen university) at one of Western Australia’s 5 universities.
  • Eligibility criteria for the Scholarship, including markets, is subject to annual review.

How to Apply

Students must apply through a written application process to be evaluated by their chosen university. This may include assessment of academic records, responses to qualitative questions contained within the application, and supporting documents provided with each application. To apply, students will need to visit their prospective university’s application page.

The application deadline is 29 November 2024.

19th International Conference on Design Principles and Practices

LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore, calls for submission of papers for the 19th International Conference on Design Principles and Practices. It is an interdisciplinary forum exploring the meaning and purpose of design with the theme  Thinking, Learning, Doing: Plural Ways of Design. This will be held from 25 to 27 February 2025 in LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, Singapore.

Youth Financial Inclusion (YFI) Hackathon and Ambassadors Program

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) invites students from the University of the Philippines to participate in the YFI Ambassadors Program and YFI Hackathon. The event aims to encourage youth involvement and build capacity in designing projects and policies that leverage digitalization to enhance financial inclusion and promote financial health among young people, their households, and broader communities (e.g., unserved and underserved sectors).

Eligibility

  • Students from the University of the Philippines

Program Highlights

  • A series of virtual activities will be conducted for the nominees and participants from the third week of October to November 2024.
  • Following the completion of the virtual capacity-building activities, nominated ambassadors are expected to develop their action plans, while Hackathon participants will present their proof of concept, project, program, or policy proposals.
  • A culminating activity, the YFI Congress, will be held at the BSP Head Office in Manila in the first quarter of 2025.

YFI Ambassadors Program YFI Hackathon

  • Maximum of four (4) student nominees per university
  • Preferably the student council president, vice president, and other officers
  • Student leaders or officers of other school organizations and other students may also be nominated/ register for the Ambassadors Program.

YFI Hackathon

  • Three to five (3-5) students per team
  • Open to all students
