IAAS MSU INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Institute of Asian and African Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University (IAAS MSU) invites researchers to participate in the International Conference “Southeast Asian Studies: Perspectives from Russia and Beyond,” scheduled for October 23–24, 2026. The hybrid format conference aims to convene scholars to discuss current research on the languages, cultures, history, politics, and economies of Southeast Asia.
This conference serves as a central event in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of IAAS MSU, recognized as one of Russia’s leading centers for Asian and African studies. It also aims to convene scholars to discuss current research on the languages, cultures, history, politics, and economies of Southeast Asia. It also seeks to strengthen international academic cooperation and promote interdisciplinary dialogue.
The scientific programme will include the following panels:
- Historical Dimension of Southeast Asia: In Memoriam Prof. Dega Deopik (Russian and English);
- Interpreting Southeast Asia: Texts and Traditions (English only);
- Political and Economic Dynamics of Southeast Asia (Russian and English);
- Round Table “50 Years of Dialogue: Philippine Studies and Russia–Philippines Diplomatic Engagement” (English only).
The conference will also feature the Youth Guber Readings, an annual event at IAAS MSU that welcomes senior undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the session “Guber Readings: Youth Dialogues on Southeast Asia.”
- The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person in Moscow or online, according to their preference.
- The working languages are English and Russian.
- Participation is free of charge; however, should participants attend onsite, they are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Presidential International Scholarship Program (PISP) 2027
The 2027 King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) Presidential International Scholarship Program (PISP) is now accepting applications to promote global student mobility and cross-cultural learning for international applicants pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree programs in architecture, design, and planning. The programme offers one full-tuition scholarship and four half-tuition scholarships for eligible applicants. Interested individuals can apply until 30 November 2026.
Available Scholarships for August 2027 Intake:
- 1 full tuition scholarship – Full cost of tuition fees/program
- 4 half tuition scholarships – 50% of tuition fees/ program
These scholarships are offered for
Undergraduate programs:
- B.Arch (Architecture)
- B.Arch (Interior Architecture)
- B.L.A. (Landscape Architecture)
- B.F.A. (Design Innovation)
- B.F.A. (Communication Design)

Qualifications of Eligible Applicants:
- Must be non-Thai students
- Has GPAX (Grade 10 – 12) not less than 3.00 or its equivalent
- Must pass the English Proficiency Test (any)
- IELTS = 5
- TOEFL = 61 (IBT)
- CEFR = 51: B2
- TOEIC = 785
- Duolingo = 100
*Qualified PISP students must be nominated by the PISP Scholarship Committee.

UPD QA OFFICE: QAhusayan FAIR
The UPD Quality Assurance Office will conduct the first QAhusayan Fair from September 7 to 11, 2026. Through exhibits, presentations, and interactive fora, the weeklong Fair will showcase how QA principles are embedded in teaching, research, governance, and service delivery-illustrating the University’s holistic approach to quality. Interested individuals who want to can exhibit their poster and audiovisual presentations may submit their applications until 21 August 2026.
