2025 HUMAN ASIA ENGLISH ESSAY CONTEST
Human Asia, established in 2006, is an NGO registered to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea. Human Asia aims to establish a human rights protection mechanism and contribute to the long-term and continuous advancement of human rights in Asia. Under this goal, Human Asia has been holding English Essay Contests as part of its human rights education project for the youth. In the past English Essay contests, the topics addressed upon Technology and Human Rights (2024); North Korea and Human Rights (2023); Climate Crisis and Human Rights (2022); and COVID-19, Vaccines and Human Rights (2021). Human Asia aims to foster next-generation researchers who will contribute to the advancement of human rights and provide opportunities for youth to grow as human rights leaders. This contest is hosted and organized by Human Asia and Korea University International Human Rights Center, and sponsored by the Jeongam Foundation, Ildong Pharmacautical, and DYPNF.
Eligibility
Youth aged 13-18 years old, and nationals of the Asian-Pacific States
* ‘Asia-Pacific States’ is as defined by the UN. (See https://www.un.org/dgacm/en/content/regional-groups)
* Previous year (2024) winners of the Human Asia English Essay Competition are not eligible to apply.
