Hello there! The UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ #OpportunitiesCorner is an update on available scholarships, exchange programs, conferences, workshops, and other skill-enhancing initiatives for UP Diliman students. Here’s for the 1st week of October 2025:

FIRST PYC ON SDG LOCALIZATION

“2030 IS NOW: The 1st Philippine Youth Convention on SDG Localization” will bring together more than 1,000 youth leaders from across all 18 regions of the Philippines, and offer them a dynamic platform for young changemakers to strengthen community-driven initiatives for the Sustainable Development Goals. Participants can look forward to keynote speeches by national and global experts, engaging plenary discussions, networking opportunities, the Youth SDG Impact Awards, and the election of the new National Officers of the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines.

Registered participants are also invited to submit entries to the Youth SDG Impact Awards, a competition highlighting youth-led initiatives that advance and localize the Sustainable Development Goals. Eligible projects may include programs, events, services, campaigns, or community-based activities successfully implemented between January 2020 and May 2025. 

Each individual or organization may submit one official entry, presented through a video showcase of up to seven minutes that must clearly indicate the project title, implementing group or individual, and the initiative’s impact. Entries are part of the National Search for SDG Champions, with applications accepted through bit.ly/PYC2025Awarding until October 27, 2025 (11:59 PM).

After answering the registration form, participants must also answer bit.ly/2025PYCUPDDelegates so that the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) can prepare the official UP Diliman delegation to the conference.

ICSMED 2025 CONFERENCE

The 2nd International Conference on Entrepreneurship and SME Development (ICESMED 2025), organized by the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries, invites faculty members, researchers, and students to take part in an international platform for dialogue and collaboration. With the theme “The Twin Transition: Steering MSMEs Toward a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” the conference aims to explore how micro, small, and medium enterprises can adapt and thrive in an era defined by both digital transformation and sustainability imperatives.
