EU Whiz: Filipino Youth of the FEUture Competition

EU Whiz is an annual student competition conducted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines. It aims to bring the best out of the youth of today through a series of competitions that touches on the relevant topics and issues in today’s society. This year also marks the first time the formation will be holding the EU Whiz online.

This year’s EU Whiz will feature three main tracks open to bona fide college students of the University:

  • EU Whiz Online Trivia Competition
  • Digital Art Competition
  • Video Competition

To join any of the competitions, interested students must form a group of three (3) members and elect a team captain who will directly communicate with the competition secretariat.

Once the team is formed, teams may visit https://eeas.europa.eu/delegations/philippines_en or http://euwhizfyf2021.engage.eu/ to download and accomplish the application form. Submission period will be from March 17, 2021 to May 1, 2021. Please note that the form needs to be signed by the university’s official representative to attest that the members of each participating team are enrolled for the current academic year.

Finalists and winning teams will receive prizes and certificates from the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines.

For more information about the competitions, visit the official social media pages of the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines (Facebook: @EUDelegationToThePhilippines, Twitter: @EUinthePH, and Instagram: @euinthephilippines) for competition updates. UP Diliman OVCSA’s Student Dialogues on Remote Learning

The remote learning assessment survey conducted by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) last semester identified the onboarding of students in the remote learning setup as an important gap for the administration and faculty to address for the second semester.

Hence, to address student concerns and inform them of available support services for students, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) is organizing a series of student dialogues starting 22 March 2021 as a follow-up to the webinar series on remote learning for students that we held in February 2021.

We plan for the dialogues will be conducted in batches according to academic cluster (Arts and Letters, Management and Economics, Science and Technology, Social Sciences and Law) in order to (1) address specific student concerns about the conduct of similar types of classes more efficiently; and (2) more effectively relay to students student services offered on the university- and college-level.

All the best, mga Iskolar ng Bayan!
