2nd CSID AUN-SCUD International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Urban Development

AUN-SCUD is pleased to invite you to the second CSID AUN-SCUD International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Urban Development (2nd CAIC SIUD 2021), which will be held virtually on October 13-15, 2021. The conference is organized by the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID) as the secretariat office of ASEAN University Network – Sustainable City and Urban Development (AUN-SCUD).

The forum aims to cover a wide range of related topics in infrastructure and stakeholder groups from both academic and industrial perspectives. The scopes are including but not limited to:

  • Sustainable infrastructure, land use, and transportation
  • Sustainable urban development and resilience city
  • Disaster management, climate change, and hazard mitigation
  • Smart city

All papers presented at the conference will be published in AIP conference proceedings and submitted to the Scopus indexing. Selected best papers will be invited to submit their papers into International Journal of Technology (Scopus), Civil Engineering and Architecture* (Scopus), or CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development (DOAJ) after the papers are updated and extended.

UKM Virtual Summer Programme 2021

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is pleased to share their upcoming UKM Virtual Summer Programme 2021 where students can enjoy cross-cultural collaborative learning, work with classmates from around the world, and learn from UKM’s and partnered Universities experts. UKM’s summer program offers a practical-based knowledge for personal development in leadership, skill and technical progress in engineering, appreciation and exploration in Islamic culture, and understanding the links between human and nature in Health Science. It’s a paid program as it offers credit transfer (selected program), student registration, and access to all virtual university facilities.

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)-2021 International Summer School

We are excited to announce the 2021 NCKU International Summer School with the topic Sustainable Environment, Myth or Reality? It includes SDG core courses themed as Sustainable Recovery, field trips featured to related local
infrastructures/industries, Crash Class in Chinese & City Tour for their extra options. Although the pandemic is still going on, the format of the course will be hybrid this year, students from overseas can join the program virtually.

West University of Timisoara (Late) Summer School 2021

West University of Timisoara is organizing the 3rd Edition of West University of Timisoara (Late) Summer School (August 30th – September 12th, 2021), a multi- and inter-disciplinary event aiming to offer Bachelor and Master students the opportunity to participate in a two-weeks study/training programme, taking place in an online format due to the current situation regarding the prevention measures against COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the prolongation of the state of alert in Romania. The event gives students the possibility to choose from a variety of courses that mirror the comprehensive character of our university. We welcome applications until July 16th.

2021 Essay Writing Competition for Undergraduate Students on Critical Human Rights and Peace Issues in ASEAN/Southeast Asia

ASEAN University Network-Human Rights Education Theme (AUN-HRE) and SHAPE-SEA with supported by the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) at University of Oslo invite Southeast Asian undergraduate students to join this year’s Essay Writing Competition on Critical Human Rights and Peace Issues in ASEAN/Southeast Asia.

This year’s theme is “ASEAN’S Golden Chance to Save the “Golden Land:” Seeking Regional Solutions for the Protection of Human Rights and Restoration of Democracy in Myanmar!” This essay competition aims to provide Southeast Asian undergraduate students a platform to analyse the current situation in Myanmar and to provide sound recommendations for ASEAN and its member states in pursuit of the restoration of democracy and the ability of the people to fully claim their basic rights and freedoms.

The deadline for submission is on 30 June 2021.
