The University of the Philippines Continuous Operational and Outcomes-based Partnership for Excellence in Research and Academic Training Enhancement (COOPERATE) Program, under the Office of International Linkages, is now accepting applications for its October to December cycle!

The COOPERATE grant aims to promote the development of research and creative manpower of the University through research cooperation and academic training with international partner universities.

It aspires to increase the number of students who are successfully able to finish their degrees (Master’s/Doctoral) in a timely manner, through co-advisership with experts in international partner universities and through active research cooperation. Funding, which includes travel expenses, accommodation, and living expenses will be provided to the qualified graduate student and research adviser.

The Leadership and Democracy (LEAD) Fellowship opens its application period this April 19, 2023 until May 19, 2023.

LEAD is a fully funded fellowship under the Youth Leadership for Democracy (YouthLed) program of The Asia Foundation and USAID – US Agency for International Development. The training partners of the LEAD Fellowship includes the Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo School of Government, and Ayala Foundation, Inc.

Integrated in the LEAD Fellowship program are curated learning sessions and activities on leadership, democracy and democratic values, social innovation, and good governance. This includes the Future Bridging Leaders Program (FBLP) –  Asian Institute of Management TeaM Energy Center for Bridging Leadership’s (AIMTEC-BL) flagship youth leadership development program and social innovation laboratory. This year’s 5th run of the FBLP shall form part of the 2nd cohort of the LEAD Fellowship.

The Asean-Korea Centre is hosting the ‘2023 ASEAN-Korea Academic Essay Contest’ again this year, under the theme of ‘Strengthening ASEAN-Korea Strategic Partnership in a Changing Global Landscape’.

Since 2016, AKC has annually organized the ASEAN-Korea Academic Essay Contest as a pathway to raise youth’s voices on important issues to the region and to youth.

This annual event invites graduate and undergraduate students of ASEAN and Korean nationalities, with the objective to encourage students to undertake research and produce scholarly works on the ASEAN-Korea partnership.
