Hello there! The UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ #OpportunitiesCorner is an update on available scholarships, exchange programs, conferences, workshops, and other skill-enhancing initiatives for UP Diliman students. Here’s for the third week of February 2023!


The KOICA Scholarship Program(SP) is designed to train key leaders in partner countries to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries. KOICA is offering 22 master’s programs and 2 doctorate programs in 2023.

The ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2023/2024 is a fully funded scholarship, covering all program-related expenses including tuition waiver and other school fees, accommodation, round-trip international airfare, comprehensive medical insurance, and stipends. It is dedicated to young and promising ASEAN professionals with working experience to study for doctoral or master’s degrees in the People’s Republic of China. This program is an initiative in response to the call of the leaders of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and ASEAN Member States (AMS) to increase people-to-people exchanges, strengthen educational cooperation and promote academic exchanges and linkages between AMS and the PRC, to foster a third pillar of socio-cultural and people-to-people exchanges within the ASEAN-China relationship towards building a closer community of shared future.

ACYLS will support AMS nationals in their study towards doctoral or master’s degrees, participation in short-term research programs, participation in training courses, in the PRC.

The Office of International Linkages Diliman, in partnership with the UP School of Statistics, invites the UPD community to the 2023 UPD Study Abroad Fair with the theme LAYAG: Lumipad at Mamayagpag sa Ibayong Dagat. UPD faculty, students, REPS, staff, and alumni are welcome to this first in-person study abroad fair since the pandemic. Attendees may visit the fair from 21 until 24 February 2023 at the School of Statistics Lobby and Auditorium and avail of information sessions and free consultation services on study-abroad opportunities, as well as freebies, raffle prizes, and snacks.
