Hello there! The UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ #OpportunitiesCorner is an update on available scholarships, exchange programs, conferences, workshops, and other skill-enhancing initiatives for UP Diliman students. Here’s for the 4th week of January 2024:

 

AUGUST 2024 DAAD SCHOLARSHIP

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is now accepting applications for its DAAD Scholarship August 2024 Intake, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The DAAD Scholarship aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in Southeast Asia with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. To this end, scholarships are granted for development-related Master studies for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and/or research at a higher education institution in Southeast Asia.

To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must submit their applications for enrollment in one of the specified programs offered by the Department of Development and Sustainability within the AIT School of Environment, Resources and Development. When applying through the AIT system, please choose your academic program carefully from the following options:

Eligible Countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, East Timor, Thailand and Vietnam

#EMPOWERING YOUTHS ACROSS ASEAN: COHORT 4

Calling all #ASEANYouth to embark on a transformative journey as the next young changemakers in the #eMpoweringYouths Across ASEAN: Cohort 4. Don’t miss the chance to volunteer abroad and empower communities across ASEAN!

The programme provides youth with an experiential and educative learning platform through social volunteerism. They collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds to implement their ideas and advocate solutions to grounded issues in local communities across ASEAN. They delve into an impactful journey to make a tangible, meaningful change among target communities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

2024-25 LEADERS ASIA-PACIFIC PROGRAM

Leaders Asia-Pacific is a non-residential leadership development program that seeks to ground emerging leaders in a values-based leadership framework to advance inclusive and lasting change in their communities, in the Asia-Pacific region, and across the world.

Leaders Asia-Pacific is a six-month, hybrid leadership development program. For 8-12 hours a month, the program brings together a small cohort of 35 emerging leaders from across sectors and issue areas to step outside of what they lead, to examine how they lead.
