SUMMER JAPANESE LANGUAGE & CULTURE PROGRAM

Organized by the Morito Institute of Global Higher Education at Hiroshima University, the 2026 Summer Japanese Language and Culture Special Program offers UP Diliman students a unique chance to combine intensive language learning with unforgettable cultural experiences. Whether you choose the Standard Course or the Advanced Course, you will spend your summer engaging in deep academic study and exploring historic cultural landmarks alongside peers from around the world.

This special program serves as a premier gateway for Iskolars ng Bayan to fast-track their language proficiency while building meaningful cross-cultural connections. Open to students who have studied Japanese for at least one year, participants will engage in half-day Higashi-Hiroshima training, full-day Miyajima training, and Hiroshima City peace training. Standard Course participants will uniquely experience the “Saijo Gion Matsuri” Japanese Festival, while Advanced Course participants will enjoy a 2-day, 1-night Kyoto historical training trip.

YOUTHSPEAK CLIMATE FORUM 2026

Climate change is increasingly shaping the future of communities across the Philippines, bringing stronger typhoons, flooding, heat stress, and environmental degradation that directly threaten livelihoods, ecosystems, and public safety. Organized globally by AIESEC seeks to connect young people with leaders and organizations working toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through YouthSpeak Forum Philippines 2026. This national conference provides an interactive space where young people, experts, and civil society organizations come together to voice their perspectives on global challenges, collaborate across sectors, and design solutions that create a positive social impact and a sustainable future.

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through the Center of Excellence on Public Sector Productivity, is organizing NextGenPH 2026—a national innovation contest challenging youth innovators to co-create tech-driven and data-backed solutions for public sector efficiency.
