Hello there! The UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ #OpportunitiesCorner is an update on available scholarships, exchange programs, conferences, workshops, and other skill-enhancing initiatives for UP Diliman students. Here’s for the 4th week of September 2023:

EU-PH – YOUTH SOUNDING BOARD

The Philippines today has the largest generation of young people in its history. About 30 million young people between the ages of 10-24 account for 28% of the Philippine population. (UNFPA). Hence, there is a huge demand for engagements with the Filipino youth. Over the last years the EU-Philippines relations have further enhanced: political relations, economic and trade cooperation, the development partnership, humanitarian aid and cultural and people-to-people relations are now cornerstones of this strengthened relations. With the YSB, young people should have the opportunity to be heard and influence key aspects of this cooperation.

The European Union – Philippines Youth Sounding Board will become a platform for the Filipino youth to share their insights and contribute to building stronger EU-Philippines relations.
