The University of the Philippines Continuous Operational and Outcomes-based Partnership for Excellence in Research and Academic Training Enhancement (COOPERATE) Program, under the Office of International Linkages, is now accepting applications for its January to March 2024 cycle!

This is your chance to engage in collaborative research, academic exchanges, and other international cooperation activities with the University of the Philippines and its partner institutions. SG ACADEMIC SOUTH-EAST ASIA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2023

The SG Academics South-East Asia Fellowship (SASEAF) Programme invites bright postgraduate researchers from South-East Asia to Singapore research institutions for a 2-year fellowship. Check out the review criteria and eligibility details below.

Award Support:
Monthly stipend: S$4,000 to 6,500
Additional S$4,000 for overseas travel
Access to professional development opportunities
Opportunities to foster ties and partnership with Singapore

Eligibility Criteria:
Citizenship: ASEAN countries (excluding Singapore)
Degree & Experience: PhD holders with working experience
Place of Work: Not residing or working in Singapore (except for exempted cases)
Age limit: Not exceeding 40 years old
Language: Fluent in written and oral English

ENDANGERED LANGUAGES DOCUMENTATION PROGRAMME GRANT ROUND 2024

The Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) provides grants for the documentation of endangered languages globally. ELDP especially welcomes applications from documenters from language communities, local scholars and students from the country where the language is spoken, as well as collaborative and interdisciplinary projects. There are no restrictions on nationality or host institution, language documenters of any nationality to undertake projects in any part of the world with our funding.

ELDP offers the grant types below:

Small Grants (SG): up to 10,000 Euros for up to 12 months

Individual Graduate Scholarships (IGS): support for PhD students for up to 36 months, including a stipend for living expenses (no salary and no tuition) and fieldwork expenses

Individual Postdoctoral Fellowships (IPF): support for early career scholars for up to 24 months, including salary and fieldwork expenses, up to 250,000 Euros

Major Documentation Projects (MDP): any project over 10,000 Euros, lasting up to 36 months, for a maximum of 300,000 Euros

Legacy Materials Grants (LMG): up to 10,000 Euros to support the digitization and archiving of existing analogue language recordings is at risk of loss or damage

New Application System

We have a new online application system. Please ensure that you read the instructions carefully when filling in your application form. You will need to submit your application together with your support statements (e.g., references, financial verification). The support statements must be submitted online before the deadline 31st October, 5 pm CEST. Get in touch with your institution, your referees and mentor/supervisor as soon as possible to ensure that they will be available to provide their statements.

Important Dates for Grant Round 2024
Applications (includes support statements required for your applications) must be submitted online by 31st October  2023, 5 PM CEST

Notification of results will be by 15th April 2023.
