ADB-ROK GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN KOREA
UP OIL is now accepting applications for inclusion in the short-list for University Recommendation to the Asian Development Bank–Republic of Korea Scholarship for Master’s and Doctoral programs.
The Asian Development Bank-Republic of Korea Scholarship aims to support outstanding students and
faculty members from ADB Partner Universities in pursuing graduate degree programs in the Republic of Korea (ROK). This initiative fosters international partnerships, enhances education and research, and
contributes to sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific by equipping scholars with advanced
knowledge and skills.
Following the designation of Vice President Cubillan as The NODAL person for the University, UP System OIL was tasked to prepare the short list of qualified candidates for the consideration and endorsement of the Vice President for Academic Affairs to ADB.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants for scholarships for Master’s degree programs must possess a Bachelor’s degree, and
applicants for scholarships for Doctoral studies programs must possess a Master’s degree. - All applicants must hold citizenship of Developing Member Countries (DMCs) of ADB. Applicants’
parents (or legal guardians) must hold citizenship from another country other than ROK. - Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the entire curriculum from the previous degree
program must meet one of the conditions as follows: (i) score percentile should be 80% or above
on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one’s class, (ii) CGPA must be equal to or
above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0. - All applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to study in ROK for the full
duration of the program. - Applicants must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1985). Academic professor
under 45 years of age are eligible to apply.

WORKSHOP FOR INNOVATION LEADERS BY NEDA
National Economic and Development Authority is inviting UP Diliman to the celebration of the 2025 National Innovation Day, with the theme “FLIP: Forging Leaders of Innovation in the Philippines.”

Event Objectives
- inspire the youth, who will be the next leaders, by engaging them in an intensified design thinking or HABI workshop;
- excite the public of Filipino ingenuity and creativity through the Filipinnovation Awards; and
- celebrate Filipinnovators who have made significant contributions in promoting and
advancing innovative solutions in their respective fields.
National Innovation Council is calling for:
- (1) team of four (4) students and one (1) instructor from UP Diliman to participate in the Huddle, Analyze, Build, and Innovate (HABI) Workshop, a design thinking activity aimed at fostering Filipino youth’s creativity and problem-solving skills, on 28 April 2025;
- (1) representative to attend the pitching day and main plenary session on 29 to 30 April 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

GOVERNANCE & DEV’T CONFERENCE IN THAILAND
The College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), in collaboration with the School of Integrated Science (SIS) of Kasetsart University (KU), is calling for abstracts for paper and poster presentations for the 4th International Conference on Governance and Development.
ICGD is a biennial conference launched by CPAf-UPLB in 2018, providing a venue for students, academics, professionals, and experts to meet and exchange ideas, share best and innovative practices, and foster partnerships for good governance and societal development.
